While we were having our girl talk with my friends, one of us said that she once experienced menses that was clotted and she was terrified but never told anyone because of shame. We brainstormed but never found a reason why. Can you help me figure this out?
Clotted menses is not a sign of menopause. The clotting occurs when women shed and tear their uterine wall during their mensural cycle prompting for the release of clotting proteins that trigger the menses to clot and when it passes out, it appears black and clotted. This is not a cause of alarm.
